Volunteer Training

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any youth organization. Whether it's parents who are willing to step up to the plate, alumni ready to give back to the organization that gave them so much, or adults who are excited to share their knowledge with local youth - volunteers are the people who make it happen. As a 4-H agent, I noticed the need for an introductory online training to expedite the onboarding process for our adult volunteers. Providing a 4-H 101 online training experience would ensure volunteers in all 75 counties were getting the same organizational information across the board. I created the course based on the state's 4-H Volunteer Guidebook and used Articulate Rise 360. The course can be previewed here

Livestock Project Series

Starting a new project is always the hardest part. If you're completely new to the topic, there's the immediate question of "Where do I even begin?" to answer. I worked with a team of three other Extension agents and a state specialist to develop a five week, four species infographic series to help answer that question for new livestock project students. Livestock, specifically cattle, pigs, lambs, and goats, are a popular starting point for Arkansas 4-H members as it is a traditionally popular 4-H project. I was responsible for all cattle-related infographics as well as the layout and design of all species materials. This project reached over 1500 individuals with direct contacts - meaning a staff member knows an individual received and opened the information.

Leadership Lunch & Learn

Members of new generations are joining the workforce every day. As one of the younger agents on staff at the UADA Cooperative Extension Service, I had the opportunity of presenting a Lunch & Learn workshop on Working with Gen Z. You can find the write up about the presentation here, or check it out to the right of this text.
